Glenfiddich Fire and Cane

A Whiskey Review by The Whiskey Noob

Hot DAMN!!!

This shit was released in August and I FINALLY got my hands on it…

And after that long wait and anticipation, lemme tell ya!

This shit is straight: meehhhh…

I mean, it’s aight…It’s finished in rum casks and has a hint of peat in so it’s definitely interesting, little sweet, little smokey…

Nothing to write home about…but for about $45-50 @bevmo why the fuck not?!?!

Anyone else try this?? Thoughts??

For me, I wouldnt say it’s a daily sipper; and when it comes to grabbing something peaty THIS definitely wouldn’t be the first thing I’d think about grabbing, but hey… to each his own!

Some might find it more tolerable than other peaty scotches and it DOES have a different type of peat versus youy typical Islay scotches so this might the right peaty scotch for you!

The fact that it’s finished in rum casks versus your more common sherry casks gives it a little different type of sweetness/character that some might find appealing and might even prefer.

Only one way to find out though and try it for yourself.

Seeing the price point just be careful not to over pay for something like this because it is new to the market and you know places will jack up the price!

Just a heads up…cheers!

Glenfiddich: Fire and Cane

Nose: marshmallows, cinnamon, citrus zest

Palate: toffee, light/peat/smokiness, apples
