Glenfarclas 12 year old
A Whiskey Review by the Whiskey Noob
I heard a lot about this one, but it was a little harder to find at bars.
So finally I decided to just bite the bullet and buy a bottle and boy was I happy I did.
It did NOT disappoint and now I look forward to buying the other variations (the 17, 21 and maybe even the 25 which is a little bit more expensive, but I think will be worth it)
Talk about a sherry bomb at a great price (~$40-50)
I think this is a great whiskey for those who have a sweet tooth and enjoy sweeter drinks like port wines, obviously sherry wines, brandy or even cognac.
It’s a great daily sipper and I feel like a great dessert whiskey…
Glenfarclas 12 yr
Nose: spice, sherry sweetness, cardamom
Palate: well-bodied, spicy, oak, citrus, tiny bit of smoke
Finish: long, cloves, slight-sweetness, spicy (which doesn’t linger as long as I thought it would)
